E.J. Reutemann Wins NAC Coach of the Year as Five Broncos Selected for NAC Awards

The Broncos collected five post-season NAC awards on their way to their first-ever NAC Championship appearance.

Led by NAC Coach of the Year E.J. Reutemann, the Broncos completely turned it around from the season before and have become a formidable force in the NAC. The Broncos boast a 10-6-2 record in 2022, a huge turnaround from the 3-12-1 record in 2021. They have also won their first two NAC playoff matches while holding their opponents scoreless on their way to their first NAC West title

Forward Michael Williams Jr. was awarded First-Team All-NAC honors after leading the NAC in total goals. His 11 goals in 17 games are the most from a Bronco since 2019. He also added two assists and four-game winners to lead the attack for the Broncos. Williams Jr. was always a threat when on the field, using his speed and agility to keep the keepers on their toes.

Other Broncos to be featured in the postseason NAC awards would be sophomore Erik Kleczkowski and freshman Vaughn Bottex. Both players were selected for the Second Team All-NAC after very solid seasons. Kleczkowski controlled the midfield scoring two goals, one assist and a game-winner through starting all 18 games. Kleczkowski was a big part of the Green and Gold success being able to defend well and come up to be a part of the attack.

While Bottex was always a dependable defender, stopping countless attacks while scoring four goals and two game-winners. He was a wall all year for the Broncos on the backline while also scoring some huge goals, including the game-winner against Clarks Summit with 11 seconds remaining.

Cesar Cruz-Vasquez was awarded a spot on the NAC Sportsmanship team after having an incredible season on and off the pitch. Cruz-Vasquez always played the game the right way with respect as a leader for the Broncos.

All four players did a ton of solid work in the trenches and were dependable all year for the Broncos. This attitude and work ethic is what has brought the Broncos to the NAC Championship, which will be played in Bangor, Maine against Husson at 11 a.m.
