VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (February 19, 2020) – Shortly after earning the ACAA's Player of the Week, senior point guard Jordan Fragale (Baldwinsville, NY / C.W. Baker) was coronated as the USCAA Division I Player of the Week for his career performances that helped the Broncos to two wins to wrap up their regular season. He opened his week reaching the 1,000 career-point milestone on Wednesday night, notching 24 points as the Broncos defeated Bryant & Stratton Syracuse, 98-75. Fragale then transformed into the hero on Saturday, making the game-winning basket with just four seconds remaining in Delhi's 83-82 ACAA road win at Pine Manor to cap the regular season. He became the team's first USCAA weekly recipient in two seasons. Fragale and the Broncos have won eight straight to stand at 18-7 with a busy postseason soon to be played.

Fragale was recognized alongside his peers before Wednesday's contest with the Bobcats as part of Senior Night, then put on a show by going 11-of-18 for a game-high 24 points. He entered the game needing nine points to reach the 1,000-point milestone and broke through in the first half. Needing three more points, he connected for a layup, then stole the ensuing inbound for two more points to enter the history books, becoming the fourth Bronco this season to reach 1,000 points and eight all-time. He also totaled five rebounds and four assists.

The native of Baldwinsville, NY then scored the points when it mattered most in Saturday's comeback win at Pine Manor. Trailing, 66-57, with less than nine minutes remaining, the Broncos staged a furious rally down the final stretch to cut things close with the Gators. Down by two possessions at 78-74 with under two-and-a-half minutes left, Fragale made a layup to cut PMC's lead down to two. After several great baskets from both sides leading to an 82-81 Gators lead with 30 seconds remaining, Fragale hit the game-winning jump shot with four seconds remaining. He finished the afternoon with 15 points, tallying five rebounds and five assists.

The senior currently has 1,030 career points and 635 career assists. Delhi earned the number-one seed as hosts of the ACAA Tournament, where they will play fourth-seed Valley Forge in the semifinals Saturday, Feb. 29 at 4:00 p.m. The second semifinals game versus two-seed UC Santa Cruz and three-seed Pine Manor will follow at 6:30 p.m. The finalists from each contest will play for the ACAA Championship on Sunday, Mar. 1 at 12:00 p.m.

Fragale and the Broncos are also within sight of a USCAA National Tournament berth, being ranked fourth in the latest USCAA Division I Coaches Poll. The USCAA will announce the eight at-large bids for the tournament on Tuesday, Mar. 3, with the competition beginning Thursday, Mar. 12 at Penn State Fayette in Uniontown, Pa.
