DELHI, N.Y. (February 1, 2020) – A ten-day break between games for the SUNY Delhi men's basketball team did little to slow down the Broncos' offense Saturday, opening February with a 104-72 win over Pratt for their fourth 100-point game this season. Led by 20 points apiece from Jordan Fragale and Mavenson Therneus and a double-double performance by Justin Daoud with 14 points and 14 boards, a total of 14 Broncos tallied points to collect their sixth straight win and improve to 16-7 overall.

After a quick bucket exchange to start things off tied at 2-2, Therneus scored the Broncos' first seven points as the team led from that point onward. Delhi's scoring was consistent over both halves, netting 51 in the first half for a 51-36 halftime lead and then pouring on 53 more points in the second half. Delhi then utilized its depth to take a 39-13 lead in bench points, as the green and gold built its lead to as much as 35. The Broncos shot 50.7 percent on the day (37-for-73), making 9-of-23 threes and 21-of-34 free throws, while the Cannoneers made 35.5 percent (27-for-76), 8-of-32, and 10-of-21, respectively. Delhi also led, 62-38, in rebounds.

Fragale is now nine points away from becoming the fourth Bronco this season and sixth overall to score 1,000 career points. The senior point guard notched six rebounds and five assists, while Therneus added nine rebounds to go with his second-highest single-game scoring total of the season. Erhunosere Uwuigbe garnered ten points and eight rebounds off the bench, as Glenn Butler totaled nine points with six steals. William Knight hit a pair of threes on his way to eight points.

Norman Wilson delivered five points and Jared Beach posted four points. Carlos Ithier and Bababukunmi Babalola each connected from long range for three points, as Payton Dean, Jordan Jackson, Matt Murphy and Nicholas Escabi each netted two points.

The win marked the Broncos' second ACAA win in as many tries, previously beating Pine Manor on Jan. 14. Head coach Zack Thomsen's team will compete and serve as hosts for the ACAA Tournament, with the semifinals scheduled for Saturday, Feb, 29 at 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., and the championship Sunday, Mar. 1 at 12:00 p.m. Delhi was ranked fourth in the USCAA Division I Coaches Poll for the second straight week, putting the men within sight of their first USCAA National Tournament berth. The competition begins Thursday, Mar. 12 at Penn State Fayette, featuring eight at-large bids.

Following an 11-day break, the Broncos have two more regular-season games, hosting Bryant & Stratton Liverpool at 7:00 p.m., then a road matchup at Pine Manor on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 3:00 p.m.
