SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (February 11, 2020) – The American Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) today announced the seeding for this year's men's basketball conference tournament, with defending ACAA Champion and host SUNY Delhi earning the number-one seed. The Broncos, currently 16-7 with two more regular-season games to play, will square off versus four-seed Valley Forge in the opening semifinals game on Saturday, Feb. 29 at 4:00 p.m.

Second-seed UC Santa Cruz will face third-seed Pine Manor in the ensuing semifinals game at 6:00 p.m. The finalists will play for the ACAA Championship on Sunday, Mar. 1 at 12:00 p.m. All games will be played at SUNY Delhi's Floyd L. Maines Arena. Live streaming for the ACAA Tournament will be available for free in high definition for all contests.

Head coach Zack Thomsen has his Broncos competing at a promising level as they look to defend their conference crown. Returning all but one student-athlete from their 2019 championship team, Delhi has worked out a healthy balance of utilizing its returners and recruiting class. After turning in a 7-5 record to close out 2019, the Broncos churned out ten games in a three-week span in January, going 8-2. The green and gold have won its last six games, including ACAA wins over Pine Manor, 87-58, on Jan. 14 and a 104-72 triumph over Pratt on Feb. 1. Delhi was ranked fourth in the latest USCAA Division I Coaches Poll as the team looks to clinch its first USCAA Tournament berth, set for mid-March at Penn State Fayette in Uniontown, Pa.

Three Broncos seniors reached the 1,000-career point milestone this season. Justin Daoud was the first, as the former transfer from Herkimer CC met the mark versus Northern Vermont Johnson on Jan. 6. His 538 points in two years as a General and 554 points over the last two seasons puts him at 1,092 career points. Payton Dean was next to reach 1,000 points at SUNY Cobleskill on Jan. 19, currently standing with 1,017 career markers. William Knight followed suit the following day at Albany College of Pharmacy, with a current total of 1,011 points. Senior point guard Jordan Fragale is close to the four-digit level himself with 991 career points.

SUNY Delhi finishes up its regular season this week, hosting Bryant & Stratton Syracuse on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m., followed by an ACAA road matchup at Pine Manor on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.

Wednesday's home meeting with the Bobcats is part of the SUNY Delhi Student-Athlete Advisory Committee' s (SAAC) It's On Us Blackout Night. The first 300 fans will receive a free t-shirt, courtesy of Cadi, Greek Council, Student Activities, and Student Senate, as the SAAC invites fans to take part in the It's On Us initiative, bringing awareness and prevention towards sexual assault on college campuses. The SUNY Delhi men's basketball team will also celebrate Senior Night, as they will recognize graduating students Daoud, Dean, Fragale, Knight, and Carlos Ithier prior to tipoff.
