With the third edition of Bronco of the Week, we are highlighting two student-athletes who stood out among their peers this past week. Kailey Leach of Women's Soccer scored the match-winning goal in the team's first North Atlantic Conference matchup of the year, while Sage Renneisen recorded her season-high in kills in two consecutive matches.
Kailey Leach
Latham, NY | Shaker High School | Women's Soccer
Kailey Leach was a huge part of Delhi Women's Soccer starting off their conference schedule with a big win, scoring the match winner in the 67th minute. She beat everyone to a corner cross, putting away her first goal of the season for the match winner. This win marked the Broncos (4-1) best start to the season since 2018 when they went 5-0 through their first five appearances.
Leach and the Delhi Women's Soccer team take a small break before hosting SUNY Canton on Saturday, September 23rd.
Sage Renneisen
Blue Point, NY | Bayport Blue Point High School | Women's Volleyball
Sage Renneisen had a breakout weekend, where she set her season-high in kills in two consecutive matches. She played a huge role in the Bronco attack off the bench during their tri-match, putting down six kills in their first matchup and then a team-high seven in the second.
Renneisen and the Delhi Women's Volleyball team will host Marywood on Tuesday, September 19th before traveling to MCLA on Friday, September 22nd.
