Track & Field Sets New Program Records During Split Weekend at Bison Open and Oscar Moore Invitational

The SUNY Delhi track & field team continued their outdoor campaign with three individuals competing at the Bison Open, while the bulk of the squad took to the Oscar Moore Invitational, recording several impressive individual and team performances. 

At the Bison Open, Amanda Intrieri would set a new program record in the 800m, posting a personal best of 2:13.89. Evie Eastman would follow it up with a personal best of her own in the 1500m with a time of 4:55.92, placing her in the top three in program history. Lastly, Charlotte Warner would set a new program record in the 5000m, posting a personal best of 17:22.06.

At the Oscar Moore Invitational, Amelia Bowman-McCoy would mark the start for Delhi in the 5000m, placing fourth overall with a time of 19:15.70. Kapriece Sigler captured second overall in the 100m hurdles with a best of 17.04. Shaesha Johnson (12.40) and Miranda Cole (12.43) would both post strong times in the prelims for the 100m. In the 400m, Zoe Rodi earned second place with a time of 59.97, while Gabrielle Brown took fourth with a time of 1:02.20. Brown would also go on to take fourth place in the 200m, recording a time of 27.12. 

On the men's side, in the 400m, Neklor Smith would take second overall with a time of 49.65, while Richard Fuller took third with a time of 49.69. Cristhian Cuevas posted a top five finish in the 200m with a time of 22.46. Lastly, the 4x400 relay of Nye Hill, Sam Margolies, Nicholas Marks, and Harry Birchmore recorded a time of 3:45.76, earning second place. The squad will now shift their attention to the Cortland Classic on April 18th.
