Rodi, Omar, & Kim Capture First Place Finishes At Houghton Highlander Invitational

Houghton, NY - The SUNY Delhi track & field team was back in action at the Houghton Highlander Invitational, recording several impressive individual and team performances. 

On the women's side, Zoe Rodi finished in first place in the women's 400m (1:01.02). In the women's 60m, Shaesha Johnson placed second overall (7.76), once again earning AARTFC recognition, and Miranda Cole finished in third place (8.12). The duo's success would carry over into the women's 200m, in which they would similarly place second and third. Johnson posted a time of 26.52, while Cole recorded a time of 26.82. In the field events portion, Kitty Messina took the bronze in the women's weight throw, posting a (13.79). 

On the men's side, strong individual performances came from Tawakal Omar, who finished first overall in the men's 60m hurdle with a time of 8.46, earning himself AARTFC recognition. Neklor Smith placed third in the men's 400m (51.77), Deron Davis captured third in the men's 200m (22.76), and Marvin Markland finished fourth in the men's 60m with a time of 7.02, earning himself AARTFC recognition. In the field events portion, Luke Foster earned third overall in the men's long jump (6.57), and Taehyoung Kim would remain perfect in his Broncos campaign, taking first place once again in the triple jump (13.69), also earning himself AARTFC recognition.

Delhi will return to the track on February 1st for the Bomber Invite at Ithaca College.
