CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. (September 5, 2019) – The SUNY Delhi men's soccer team fell behind early at Clarks Summit on Thursday after the host Defenders logged two goals just over 20 minutes in the game. Despite settling in thereafter to outshoot their hosts, 13-11, the Broncos suffered a 3-0 defeat.

CSU got on the board at 10:36 when Caleb Holloman connected off a feed from Tommy Peifer. They again were on the attack ten minutes later as Jan Rodriguez buried one to give the Defenders a 2-0 lead. While Delhi kept Clarks Summit off the board for the rest of the half, the Defenders found room for one more score to add to their lead in the second half. Tommy Peifer added a goal at 63:34 for the day's final

Corey O'Toole started in goal for the Broncos, posting two saves before giving way to freshman Jonathan Walch halfway through the first half. Delhi led, 6-5, in shots on goal.

Head coach Brian Mitko's team looks to overcome an 0-3 start to the year when they welcome Albany College of Pharmacy in their home season opener on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
