DELHI, N.Y. (October 30, 2019) – The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Tournament is set, as it was announced the SUNY Delhi men's soccer team have received the third seed and will host sixth-seed SUNY Canton in a conference quarterfinals match Sunday, Nov. 3 at 11:00 a.m. The contest will take place at SUNY Oneonta.

The Broncos completed the regular season with a 9-7 overall record and 6-2 league mark, while the Roos are 6-9-2 and 4-4, respectively. SUNY Canton won the regular-season matchup, 6-3, on Sept. 28. The winner will face second-seed Thomas in the NAC Semifinals on Saturday, Nov. 9. The semifinals and finals will be conducted in a final four format, hosted by top-seed Maine Maritime the weekend of Nov. 9-10.

Delhi finished one spot above their number-four ranking in the conference's Preseason Poll. Coach Mitko's men overcame many obstacles in their first regular season as members of the NAC. After scoring just two total goals in their first three contests to stand at 0-3, the Broncos bounced back to win their next four games with a combined 11 goals, including a pair of conference victories over NVU Johnson and Maine Maritime. While this was followed by another three-game losing streak, Delhi remained resilient, ending the season winning five of its last six that featured four league wins.

Junior Brody Rettle and sophomore Juan Velez have led Delhi's scoring attack this season. Rettle leads in total scoring with 23 points on ten goals and three assists, while Velez leads with 11 goals. Velez earned both NAC and USCAA Athlete of the Week honors. Senior goalkeeper Corey O'Toole went 8-6 in his first season as the full-time starter, garnering a 2.02 goals allowed average and .722 save percentage, while posting 2.5 shutouts. He was recently named NAC Defensive Player of the Week.
