Keyes Leads Broncos as Women Place Seventh at Hamilton

HAMILTON, N.Y. (September 8, 2018) – The SUNY Delhi women's cross country team took their strides to the Hamilton Invite on Saturday, logging a seventh-place finish and freshman Kali Keyes leading the Broncos. The four-kilometer race took place at the Hamilton College Golf Course, and included the likes of Hamilton, Ithaca, SUNY Cortland, SUNY Oneonta and Division II Le Moyne.

Delhi finished seventh after totaling 188 points. Hamilton won the race with 33 points, while Ithaca finished second with 40 points and Le Moyne placed third with 69 points.

Keyes placed 35th with a time of 16:33.4, as fellow freshman Katerina Salcedo took 38th at 16:40.1. Elise McIntyre (17:49.2) and Tristen Bowker (17:49.7) earned 74th and 75th, respectively, with half a second separating the two. Arielle Moheimani placed 78th at 17:54.8 to round out the team's scoring.

Also running for the Broncos Saturday were Mersadie Dibbell (81st, 18:03.8), Brittany Patterson (86th, 18:25.2), Alexis Stevenson (87th, 18:33.2), Delaney Coughlin (94th, 19:21.6), Jewel Pignetti (98th, 19:52.8), Brittany Adams (100th, 20:03.0) and Susan Hoskins (103rd, 20:48.3).

The women's runners' next test will be at the Bard Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 22.
