Arnecke, Lane, Yerow Earn Regional Marks at Boston University

BOSTON, Mass. (February 10, 2019) – Distance runners Nicholas Arnecke, Kobie Lane and Abshir Yerow punched their AARTFC tickets Saturday with big performances at Boston University's Valentine Invitational. Arnecke and Yerow earned qualifiers in the 5K, while Lane made the cut in the 3K.

Arnecke clocked in with a time of 15:07.12. Yerow finished in 15:12.37, shaving 17 seconds off his personal best and is now the second-fastest 5K runner in school history behind Arnecke. Lane recorded a time of 8:40.38. The three will take their marks to the AARTFC Indoor Championships, beginning Friday, Mar. 1 at Ithaca College.

Ted Oster provided the remaining highlight from Delhi's phenomenal weekend stay in Boston with a new personal best in the one-mile run with a time of 4:27.50. The women competed on Friday, where freshman Katerina Salcedo set a new women's school record in the 1K with a time of 3:04.12, while Ashley Magnifico and Arielle Moheimani posted PR's in the 400 meters, as well as Jaylynn Sheppard in the 200 meters.

Head coach Robb Munro's team has two more regular season indoor meets. They will head to Cornell's Denault Invite on Saturday, Feb. 16, followed by the Armory Last Chance on Friday, Feb. 22.
