NEW YORK, N.Y. (December 2, 2018) – The SUNY Delhi men's and women's track and field teams opened their indoor season Saturday, traveling to the Big Apple for the TCNJ Season Opener at the New York City Armory. The Broncos wasted no time making their marks in the record books, as Katerina Salcedo's 1:39.55 seventh-place finish in the 600-meter dash ranks second all-time in school history, and Humphrey Banful's 8.64 mark in the 60-meter hurdle preliminaries ranks fourth all-time. 

Alex Brown led Delhi Saturday with third-place finish in the 400-meter dash, clocking in at 52.31. He then teamed up with Sean Andrews, Shamar Barker, Mike Moran to take seventh in the 4x400 with a time of 3:28.80. Andrews accounted for the men's remaining top-ten placement, finishing tenth in the 300-meter dash at 36.48. 

Moheimani was not far behind Salcedo in the 600 meters for the women's second top-ten finish on the day, finishing in 1:45.71. Salcedo and Moheimani later teamed with Ashley Magnifico and Naomi Mullings to finish 11th in the 4x400 with a time of 4:19.04. 

Salcedo's 600-meter mark puts her behind SUNY Delhi record-holder Pauline Mitchell, who holds the record time of 1:37.44 from 1998. Banful sits a few spots behind Bronco leader Jon Fagan's mark of 8.10 from 2004. 

Head coach Robb Munro's team's next indoor challenge will be at the Utica College Winter Classic, set for Saturday, Dec. 8 at 10:30 a.m.
