DELHI, N.Y. (October 13, 2019) – Five graduating members of the SUNY Delhi women's soccer team were recognized prior to the Broncos' NAC match with Husson on Sunday in their home season finale. A goal from each side in the first half accounted for all the scoring on the afternoon in a 1-1 double-overtime draw. The Broncos' extended affair Sunday marked their sixth overtime match of the season as the team concluded a busy conference weekend at 6-5-2 overall and 3-2-1 in league play.

Soon-to-be graduates Sam Acuna, Kelsey Innes, Brianna Laing, Jessica Shultis and Alexa Scaglione were honored before the contest for their contributions towards SUNY Delhi and the women's soccer program. Delhi's outgoing class sees student-athletes from the fields of Criminal Justice, Culinary Arts Management, General Studies, Nursing, and Veterinary Science.

Husson drew first blood at 5:44, when Arianna McKinnon scored off a scramble in the box, assisted by Jordan Hernandez. Innes knotted the match up at one when her floater just went over the head of the goalkeeper at 31:15. Despite several close calls and the Broncos carrying a 16-13 lead in shots and 12-1 in corner kicks, both sides were held scoreless for the rest of the contest through both overtime periods.

Shultis finished with seven saves as she moved to 4-0-2 on the season. Innes' score puts her at a team-leading 30 points on 12 goals and six assists, ranking second in the NAC in both points and goals. Head coach Lauren Mackay's squad is 1-3-2 this season in overtime contests.

Coupled with their Saturday win over Maine Presque Isle, the Broncos stand in fourth place in the NAC standings, behind Maine Maritime, Husson, and Thomas, respectively. They have three more regular-season games, including two NAC matches, as they continue their hunt for a NAC Tournament appearance. It starts this Saturday when they travel to face Thomas at 3:30 p.m., followed by a non-conference meeting at Alfred on Oct. 23, then Northern Vermont Lyndon on Oct. 26.
