FARMINGTON, Me. (October 5, 2019) – For its tenth game of the season, the SUNY Delhi women's soccer team experienced their fifth overtime match Saturday at Maine Farmington. A 95th-minute goal by the host Beavers handed Delhi its second NAC defeat as the Broncos moved to 5-4-1 on the year and 2-2 in conference play.

UMF got on the board first when Leah Stevens scored at 7:17 on an assist by McKenna Brodeur. Despite an 11-5 first-half lead in shots, the Broncos were unable to hit the equalizer before halftime. They continued to hammer away in the second half, finally hitting pay dirt when Alexa DuBois scored her tenth goal of the year to knot things up at 60:14. Both sides were on the move for the go-ahead goal, with the Beavers nearly finding it late in regulation and the beginning of overtime on a pair of shots that hit the crossbar. But Brodeur's score at 94:22 proved to be the finisher, as the Broncos are 1-3-1 this season in overtime contests.

DuBois is now tied with Kelsey Innes for the team lead with ten goals, while ranking second in scoring with 23 points. Goalkeeper Rachael Scoones presided over the entire contest, gathering three saves, while the defense provided an additional defensive save. Delhi finished with a 21-16 lead in shots.

Head coach Lauren Mackay's team returns to Delhi to get ready for a three-match week, starting with a road meeting at Sage on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 7:00 p.m. They return to NAC play next weekend with back-to-back home conference matches, starting Saturday, Oct. 12 versus Maine Presque Isle at 3:30 p.m., followed by Sunday, Oct. 13 against Husson at 2:30 p.m.
