Reading, PA - The SUNY Delhi women's basketball team was back in action Thursday night, coming up short to Penn St Berks.
Delhi women's basketball remains determined to finish the season on a positive note. The Broncos are coming off back-to-back strong first-half performances and would follow the same trend. Playing their best basketball of the season, the Broncos would find themselves in a back-and-forth battle that saw both sides even at half. Delhi's success would carry over into the second half, finding themselves with a narrow two-point lead with five minutes remaining. Down the stretch it would be Penn St. Berks that would answer the call and pull away with the close victory.
Delhi's top performers included Kapriece Sigler, leading the way for the Broncos, posting a season-high 20 points, and Shakera Fullenwilder, who totaled 15 points off the bench. The Broncos fall to 0-19, 0-9 in conference play, and will take on Cobleskill at home on Saturday.
