Delhi, NY - The SUNY Delhi women's basketball team was back in action Saturday to wrap up their tip-off tournament, coming up short to Purchase 58-47.
The Panthers jumped out to an early lead, finishing the first quarter ahead by 4 points. Delhi was resilient from start to finish, keeping the contest in striking distance entering the half only trailing by 9 points. The Broncos would inch closer, making a run late in the second half, cutting the deficit to single digits. The Panthers behind a 19-point performance from Carlye Graff would ultimately be too much for Delhi to handle and come away with the victory.
Delhi's top performers included first-year Alani Brock, who recorded 25 points, and Shakera Fullenwilder, who totaled 11 points. The Broncos fall to 0-2 and will take on Houghton at home on Tuesday, Nov. 12th, at 5:30 p.m.
