Waterville, ME - The SUNY Delhi women's basketball team returned to action Tuesday afternoon as part of a back-to-back, coming up short to Thomas.
Thomas would jump out to an early lead, finishing the first quarter ahead by double digits. The Broncos would keep things close in the second, tying the Terriers in the quarter. Thomas would still remain a ten-point lead heading into the break.
Similarly to the opening of the first half, the Terriers would start strong, continuing to build on their lead. Despite a solid fourth quarter from the Broncos, the Terriers would ultimately pull away with the victory, improving to 2-2 in conference play.
Delhi's top performers included junior Shakera Fullenwilder, leading the Broncos in scoring, posting a season-high 17 points. Sophomore Samantha Miller doubled her season high in points with 16, and sophomore Jewel Torres posted 6 rebounds along with 4 steals.
The Broncos fall to 0-13, 0-4 in conference play, and will take on UMPI at home on Sunday.
