Lacrosse Celebrates Senior Day with Thrilling Conference Victory Over Husson

Delhi, NY - The SUNY Delhi lacrosse team was back in action Saturday afternoon, looking to remain hot following a commanding victory against SUNY Purchase. The Broncos would return to conference play with a matchup against Husson on senior day.

The Broncos would waste no time jumping out to an early lead, as Jagger Beachak would find the back of the net less than three minutes into the contest. In even quicker fashion, Delhi would score two more goals in just over a minute of play from Joseph Lazazzaro and Dylan Fuentes. The Broncos would finish the first quarter with a comfortable 7-0 lead. It would be much of the same in the second quarter as Delhi would hold Husson scoreless for the entire first half. Jayden Messina would do his part in goal, recording six saves on just six shots on target. The Broncos dominance continued to roll into the third quarter, still holding the Eagles scoreless while holding an emphatic 16-0 lead.

Delhi's top performers included Jagger Beachak leading the way with 4 goals, Chris Lazazzaro totaling 2 goals with 3 assists, and Kyle Moore collecting 2 goals of his own. The Broncos would go on to earn the 18-5 victory, improving to 1-1 in conference play and 6-3 on the season. The squad will return to action Wednesday for an away contest against Marywood.
