Harris Takes Second At National Championships

GENEVA, OH (May 28, 2022) – Naquille Harris became SUNY Delhi's second NCAA All-American today placing second in the 100 meter dash at the NCAA III National Track and Field Championships.  Harris ran 10.45 seconds in the effort.

After a start that left him in the middle of the field, Harris began to pass runners and by the final 15 meters he was rapidly closing on the leader.  Unfortunately, there was a little too much work to be done and he was just short of catching the winner who ran 10.40 seconds.

Sadly, in the lean at the line, Harris sustained an injury to his knee that forced him to withdraw from the 200 meter final he was slated to run.

This completes a fantastic year for SUNY Delhi athletics.  Harris finishes the year with school records in the 60 meters and 200 meters indoors as well as the 100 and 200 meters outdoors.  He joins teammate Joshua Jeffes who earned All-American in the 400 meter distance indoors as the first two student-athletes to earn the honor.
