CAZENOVIA, N.Y. (November 19, 2019) – A first-quarter Broncos lead was not enough to translate to a win Tuesday night for the SUNY Delhi women's basketball team, as host Cazenovia responded with at least 20 points each in the second and third periods to hand Delhi an 81-64 defeat. Camryn McDonald totaled 19 points and Samiaya Salley 16 points to lead the Broncos as they moved to 1-3 on the season.

The ladies started off with a productive opening quarter, leading by as much as nine points on their way to a 22-17 lead through the first ten minutes. With Delhi ahead, 28-24, in the second, the Wildcats pounced on a 13-3 run that put them in front as they took a 43-35 lead at the half. Things only continued for Caz with a 20-point third quarter for a 63-49 advantage entering the fourth, then bumping their lead by as much as 20 points before game's end.

The Broncos finished with a 36.4 field goal mark (24-for-66) and making 6-of-26 3-point attempts, while the Wildcats posted 41.7 percent (30-for-72) and 11-for-33, respectively. Delhi forced Cazenovia into 22 turnovers, but Caz turned 24 Broncos turnovers into a 34-9 lead in points off turnovers.

McDonald made 8-of 13 from the field and gathered nine rebounds, as Salley made two 3-pointers. Diana Echols garnered a team-best ten boards, while Carissa Crandall hit on a pair of threes to finish with eight points on the night.

Head coach Lauren McRoberts' team has the rest of the week to prepare for their Saturday home matchup versus Centenary, with tip off set for 2:00 p.m.
