CANTON, N.Y. (April 11, 2021) – The SUNY Delhi softball team completed a weekend sweep of SUNY Canton Sunday afternoon to remain unbeaten at 6-0. After taking both games of their Saturday doubleheader on their home field, the Broncos met the Roos in Canton Sunday to claim a 7-3 win in the opener and a 12-4 victory in five innings in the second game. Delhi possesses a perfect 4-0 mark in the NAC West, with its next league matchup scheduled for SUNY Cobleskill this Wednesday and Thursday.

Sunday's games were originally scheduled to take place in Delhi, but weather considerations prompted the move to Canton. The Broncos retained designation as batting in the bottom half.

GAME ONE: DELHI 7, CANTON 3

The Broncos built a 4-0 lead after three innings, featuring RBI singles from Carissa Crandall and Kayla Beers. Canton got a run back in the fourth, only for Delhi to extend its lead in the bottom half with an RBI single from Jessica Kwasnik and Katelynn Rose ripping a two-RBI double with the bases loaded. The Broncos gathered 11 hits for the game.
