DELHI, N.Y. (April 13, 2021) - SUNY Delhi Athletics is proud to be back in the competitive swing of things this spring, and even prouder to celebrate our new batch of Broncos of the Week! This week's honors go out to volleyball/softball senior Shelby Nolan and men's golf senior Brandon Palmer.

Two-sport student-athlete Shelby Nolan (Ansonia, CT / Notre Dame Cathlolic) went a perfect 6-0 this weekend between volleyball and softball. On Friday night, the senior celebrated her final night playing for Broncos Volleyball by helping her team sweep SUNY Poly in a doubleheader through seven sets. Nolan totaled 32 digs between both games, including a game-high 15 in the first one. She took to the softball diamond Saturday and Sunday, holding down the left infield as the Broncos won a two-day, four-game series over SUNY Canton. Splitting time between shortstop and third base, Nolan batted a combined 7-for-16, producing one double and two stolen bases, and coming across to score nine of the Broncos' 35 runs over the two-day series.

Brandon Palmer (Norfolk, NY / Norwood-Norfolk) finished third individually on Monday at the Le Moyne Mike Bello Invitational. In a field of entirely NCAA Division II competition, Palmer led the Broncos with a par 72 round-one score and a 73 mark in round two as the team placed fourth with a 601 combined score (301, 300). Palmer was just seven strokes off first place and one removed from second place, while SUNY Delhi was six strokes out from the top of the team leaderboard.
