NAC Recognizes Track and Field Athletes for Weekly Honors

Delhi, NY - For the second week in a row, Delhi Track and Field has garnered recognition from the North Atlantic Conference. Four Broncos were selected in their respective areas as the conference perfomer of the week.

Zoe Rodi - Women's Track Athlete of the Week

Sophmore | Sprinter | Pine Bush, NY
Rodi led the way for the Broncos women’s track & field team on Saturday, winning the individual 400-meter event at the Utica Pioneer Invite with a time of 1:01.56 seconds. Her time places her at the top of the leader board in the NAC for the event. 

 

Kim Dean - Women's Field Athlete of the Week

Senior | Jumper | Bellport, New York
Kimberly Dean had a new lifetime best in the long jump and joined the five-meter club with her leap of 5.00 meters at the Utica Pioneer Invite this past Saturday, placing third at the meet. Her mark this week places her first in the NAC and 14th in the Niagara Region. 

 

Josh Jeffes - Men's Co-Track Athlete of the Week

Senior | Sprinter | Scotia, New York
SUNY Delhi’s Joshua Jeffes won the Pioneer Invite in the 400-meter event setting a new facility record of 47.98 seconds and then anchored the winning 4x400 relay team with a split of 47.51 seconds. The Broncos went on to place 3rd in Utica University’s Pioneer Invite. Jeffes 400-meter time puts him at the top of the leaderboard in both the NAC and the Niagara Region. 

 

Luke Foster - Men's Field Athlete of the Week

Junior | Jumper | Otego, New York
Luke Foster had a tremendous result in the long jump event this week with a mark of 6.72 meters to place second overall in the Utica Pioneer Spring Invite. His jump mark places him as the top spot in the NAC and is 5th in the Niagara Region. 

 

Both Broncos Track and Field programs will be on the road this weekend. The team will split between the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Invite and the Cortland Upstate Alternative.
