Broncos Of The Week 1/25-1/31

Delhi, NY - This week in Bronco Athletics saw a lot of stellar performances, but the selections for 1/25-1/31 are Marven Louissaint from the men's basketball team and for the second week in a row, Zoe Rodi from the women's track and field team.

Marven Louissaint

Senior | Brooklyn, NY | Men's Basketball

Louissaint led the men's basketball team to the biggest conference upset of the year.  Marv tallied a team high 17 points shooting an incredible 78% from the field to lead the Broncos over the Morrisville Mustangs.  The defeat was the first loss of the season for the Mustangs in the North Atlantic Conference play and only their third loss of the season.  With the win, the men guaranteed their spot in the NAC Plyaoffs to start in a few weeks.

Zoe Rodi

Sophomore | Pine Bush, NY | Women’s Track and Field

For the second week in a row, Zoe Rodi is one of our Broncos of the Week.  Last week she had run two new bests in her events and this week she did it again.  Rodi ran a new lifetime best of 1:00.28 to win the 400 meter dash at the Utica Blue and Orange Invite, getting very close to the program record of 59.74 set by Cassi Williams back in 2004.  Rodi then cracked 27 seconds for her first time indoors to place third overall with her 26.91 second performance.  Finally, Rodi anchored the 4x400 meter relay team of Meg Cruz, Mary Bryant and Evelyn Eastman to the win that event.

Men's basketball will have their senior recognition at 1:@0pm on Sunday in Floyd L. Maines Arena while the track and field team will travel to Ithaca College.
