Women's Tennis Drops Final Conference Contest, Shifts Attention Towards Playoffs

Cambridge, MA - The SUNY Delhi women's tennis team was back in action on Saturday against Lesley, coming up short 8-1 in their final conference contest of the regular season.

Lesley took care of the doubles portion of the match, winning all three sets (8-3, 8-0, forfeit). In the six single sets that followed, Lesley would take five of them to secure the victory. Virginia Savage recorded the lone point for the Broncos, earning the (6-1, 6-0) victory.

Delhi moves to 4-7, 3-2 in conference play on the season as the squad wraps up the regular season. The Broncos shift their attention to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) playoffs; finishing in the third seed earns them a matchup against Husson in the semifinals Saturday, Oct. 12.
