Women's Tennis Move To 3-1 In Conference Play, Defeating Thomas

Delhi, NY - The SUNY Delhi women's tennis team got back in the win column with victories on Sunday against Thomas in a double header, with game one acting as a conference matchup.

Delhi took the conference match in a narrow 5-4 victory; the Broncos took two of three doubles matches behind wins from the duos of Hannah Shaffer/Juliana Plue and Hallee Bodo/Alyssa Gregorius. Only needing three points from the singles portions of the match, Delhi did exactly that with wins from Hallee Bodo, Alyssa Gregorius, and Juliana Plue

In match two, Thomas flipped the script, taking two of three in the doubles portion, with Hallee Bodo/Alyssa Gregorius capturing the lone point for the Broncos. In the singles portion, similar to match one, Delhi's victorious trio followed the same script for match two. Hannah Shaffer singles victory would be the deciding factor for the Broncos in match two, uplifting them to another 5-4 victory.

The Broncos move to 4-6, 3-1 in conference play on the season and will next play Lesley on Oct. 5 at 2 p.m. to wrap up conference play.
