WATERVILLE, Me. (October 11, 2021) - Senior goalkeeper Rachael Scoones (Waterville, NY / Waterville) was named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Defender of the Week following a three-match performances that featured high save totals and a shutout victory. The Broncos are currently 7-5 overall and first place in the NAC West standings with a 5-1 league mark. 

Scoones blocked away 12 saves in Delhi's non-conference meeting with Sage on Tuesday in a high-shooting afternoon from both sides, with a late Gators score resulting in a 1-0 decision. The Waterville, NY native responded with 11 saves during Saturday's NAC road meeting at Maine Maritime in what ended as a 2-0 Mariners victory. Scoones' resolve paid off with the Broncos' 1-0 win at Thomas Sunday, tallying three saves to pitch her third complete-game shutout of the season.

Scoones and the Broncos head out to SUNY Poly for a NAC West matchup starting at 12 noon. Delhi is three games ahead in the NAC West standings with two more league matches to play.
