WATERVILLE, Me. (September 20, 2021) - SUNY Delhi women's soccer senior midfielder Alexa DuBois (Hobart, NY / South Kortright Central) was named the North Atlantic Conference's (NAC) Player of the Week for the second straight week after posting her second hat trick of the season in the Broncos' 5-1 league win over Northern Vermont Johnson Saturday. It is the fourth NAC weekly honor of her career.

In SUNY Delhi's NAC season opener, the Broncos peppered the Badgers all afternoon with scoring opportunities. Despite this, the game remained scoreless through the opening 44 minutes. Faced with 30 seconds before a potential 0-0 halftime, DuBois posted a relentless fight for control of the ball in the box, working it around the Badgers defenders and poking it past the goalie for a 1-0 Delhi lead with 15.6 seconds remaining in the half. DuBois carried her momentum over in the second half to trigger a four-goal Broncos scoring run over 13 minutes, starting with her clean header off a Reanen Goodspeed corner kick in the 53rd minute. She then played part in the third goal three minutes later, as her 25-yarder hit the crossbar, which eventually was recovered by Alanna Ruchar who buried it in the net. After another score from Alivia Cordero in the 58th minute, DuBois finished off the Delhi scoring painting an 18-yarder to the top left of the goal in the 65th minute.

The Hobart native's performance gave DuBois her third multi-goal game of the season, putting her at the top of the NAC scoring list with 18 points and eight goals. Her SUNY Delhi career numbers stand at 55 points on 24 goals and seven assists.

DuBois and her teammates host NAC-foes Northern Vermont Lyndon and Maine Farmington this weekend. Delhi competes against the Lyndon Hornets Saturday, Sept. 25 at 1:00 p.m., followed by the Maine Farmington Beavers on Sunday, Sept. 26 at 11:00 a.m.
