Moheimani, Lane Sweep ACAA Weekly Awards for Second Time

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (October 3, 2017) – SUNY Delhi runners Arielle Moheimani (Homer, NY / Homer) and Kobie Lane (Port Jervis, NY / Port Jervis) were each named the ACAA Country Country Athlete of the Week for the women and men, respectively, for the week ending Oct. 1. This marks the second time Moheimani and Lane have swept the conference's weekly honor in the same week, and the third time overall for each.

Moheimani paced the Broncos for the fourth straight race on Saturday at the 6K Mount Saint Mary Knight Invite. She placed 16th with a time of 25:56 as Delhi finished 10th in the 24-team field with 254 points. A total of 198 runners competed in the event.

Lane, like Moheimani, finished as the Broncos' top runner for the fourth straight time this year, placing 32nd at the 8K Lehigh University Paul Short Run. In a race that featured NCAA Division II and III runners, the junior finished with a time of 25:20, setting a career high and posting the third-fastest time in school history for an 8K race. The Broncos averaged a 26:10.47, a new school record for the fastest five-man average over an 8K course, good for 14th in the 24-team field.
