ONEONTA, N.Y. (September 16, 2017) – Freshman Arielle Moheimani led the Broncos with a fifth-place finish on Saturday as SUNY Delhi took fourth at the Oneonta Airfield Invitational, hosted by SUNY Oneonta at Fortin Park. In the five-team, 56-runner competition, the Broncos finished with 99 points, with St. John Fisher winning the event with 33 points.
Moheimani, who was named last week's ACAA Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week, lived up to her billing Saturday, clocking in at 18:28.4 in the 4.5K race. This is the third straight week the native of Homer, N.Y. paced the Broncos. Jewel Pignetti earned Delhi's second finish of the day, placing 22nd at 20:19.0, while Zhane Smith (20:29.4) and Elise McIntyre (20:39.3) took 24th and 26, respectively. Rainey Cerqua (29th, 21:14.9), Beverly Gruet (33rd, 21:45.4), Tristen Bowker (35th, 22:15.9) and Julia Witt (40th, 22:54.2) rounded out the field for SUNY Delhi.
