SUNY Delhi Student-Athletes Make Winter and Spring All-Academic

DELHI, N.Y. (June 16, 2020) - Sixteen SUNY Delhi winter and spring student-athletes achieved academic recognition. Ten Broncos were named to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Winter and Spring All-Academic Team, while six were honored to the American Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) All-Academic Team. Additionally, all recipients earned distinction to the USCAA National All-Academic Team.

Students selected all-academic must achieve a GPA of 3.5 or greater and have completed two seasons competing in their sport. In addition, four Broncos were chosen to the ACAA Honor Roll for achieving GPAs between 3.25 and 3.49.

The ACAA All-Academic Team featured women's basketball sophomores Tianna Tracey (Brooklyn, NY / HS for Public Service Wingate) and Brenna Gioffe (Delhi, NY / Delaware Academy) and softball's Dakota Baker (Bogota, NJ / Bergen County Technical), Natasha Picozzi (Hancock, NY / Hancock Central), Rachael Scoones (Waterville, NY / Waterville), and Jaylynn Sheppard (Queens, NY / HS for CTEA). The ACAA Honor Roll honored men's basketball's Jordan Fragale (Baldwinsville, NY / C.W. Baker) and softball's Molly Greene (Glenford, NY / Onteora), Samantha Mendelsohn (Brooklyn, NY / James Madison), and Mackenzie Sparacino (Copake, NY / Taconic Hills).

For the NAC All-Academics, Antonio Russo (Oneonta, NY / Oneonta) and Walter Johnsen (Oakland, NJ / Indian Hills) were the two recipients from the men's lacrosse team. Jake Robinson (Oneonta, NY / Oneonta) was the men's tennis team's honoree. Track & Field featured eight selections: Anthony Cuchel (Seaford, NY / Seaford), Tyler Kemble (East Hampton, NJ / Rancocas Valley Regional), Derrick Kenan (Newburgh, NY / Newburgh Free Academy), Ashley Magnifico (Bayport, NY / Bayport-Blue Point), Arielle Moheimani (Homer, NY / Homer), Jewel Pignetti (New Windsor, NY / Cornwall Central), and Jaylynn Sheppard (Queens, NY / HS for CTEA).
