The SUNY Delhi Athletic Department recognized all its fall athletics awards recipients in a halftime ceremony during the women's basketball team's home opener versus Clarks Summit on Thursday, Nov. 14. The Broncos' fall student-athletes were responsible for over 100 awards based upon athletic, academic, and sportsmanship achievements. SUNY Delhi President Dr. Michael R. Laliberte, Vice President for Student Life Dr. Tomás Aguirre, and Director of Athletics Bob Backus were on hand to recognize the recipients.

The Broncos accomplished a lot across their eight fall programs in men's and women's cross country, men's and women's golf, men's and women's soccer, women's tennis, and women's volleyball. Each team earned noteworthy recognition as proud members of the United State Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) and the North Atlantic Conference (NAC). Men's and women's cross country and men's golf raised the NAC banner as conference champions, then followed with top performances at the USCAA Championships. Men's cross country won their fourth consecutive USCAA national title, while the men's golf team finished second and women's cross country third. Men's and women's soccer and women's volleyball qualified for the NAC Tournament in their first seasons as conference members.

A great emphasis during the ceremony was placed on those who achieved recognition outside the lines. A total of 17 Broncos were named USCAA National All-Academics and the following were honored for being named to the NAC Sportsmanship Team: Sam Acuna (Women's Soccer), Mersadie Dibbell (Women's Cross Country), Alex Fisher (Men's Golf), Mackenzie Landman (Women's Tennis), Bladimir Pena (Men's Cross Country), Taylor Tsatsis (Women's Volleyball), and Michael Zerniak (Men's Soccer). This program recognizes those who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior. The honorees positively affect their sport's culture and environment by clearly demonstrating sportsmanship and integrity beyond the sport playing rules and etiquette.
