DELHI, N.Y. (March 3, 2020) – Director of Athletics Bob Backus and the SUNY Delhi Athletics Department are pleased to announce the inaugural SUNY Delhi Athletics Golf Classic on Friday, June 5 at The College Golf Course. The classic is a joint effort by the Athletics Department and the College Advancement Office to further engage alumni and former student-athletes, with the funds going towards SUNY Delhi's mission of building an outdoor turf facility as the college completes its transition to NCAA Division III.
"As the Director of SUNY Delhi's Athletics programs I am very pleased and excited to announce our first SUNY Delhi Broncos Athletics Fundraising Golf Tournament," said Mr. Backus. "This inaugural event is focused on raising additional funds for the new All-weather Turf Field that will specifically benefit our Lacrosse and Soccer programs. Thanks in advance for your anticipated and ongoing support of SUNY Delhi Athletics. Friday, June 5th is going to be 'A Great Day to be a Bronco!'"
Registration for the SUNY Delhi Athletics Golf Classic is $100 for individuals and $400 for a team. There will be a shotgun start of 9:00 a.m. A continental breakfast will be served from 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., followed by a grilled lunch at 2:00 p.m.
