COBLESKILL, N.Y. (October 19, 2021) - The SUNY Delhi men's soccer team suffered a heartbreak defeat on the road Tuesday in NAC play at SUNY Cobleskill, as an early 1-0 lead disappeared by way to two unanswered Fighting Tigers scores. Delhi was handed its ninth defeat of the season decided by one goal.

In a match that meant keeping NAC playoff hopes alive for both sides, the Broncos went ahead in the 25th minute when Michael Williams Jr. charted his fourth goal of the season on a John Walsh assist. Cobleskill's Cater Ciavardoni found the equalizer ten minutes later off a 25-yard direct kick to knot things up at halftime at one each. The Fighting Tigers jumped out in front in the 65th when a through ball from Mike Masocco found Tyler Cinamon for the go-ahead goal.

The afternoon affair showcased a 15-12 lead for the Broncos in shots, and an even 6-6 in shots on goal. Tucker Garrett got the start in the goal, gathering two saves in the first half before regular starter Jonathan Walch assumed the goal in the second half, also totaling two saves.

The defeat dropeed the Broncos to 2-12-1 overall and 2-6 in NAC play, but more importantly slotted them in fifth place in the NAC West standings and on the outside of the conference tournament picture. Head coach EJ Reutemann's team has one more regular season match hosting NAC-foe SUNY Canton on Senior Day Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
