MARCY, N.Y. (October 16, 2021) - The SUNY Delhi men's soccer team showed their resiliance in a Saturday road NAC match at SUNY Poly. Despite a Wildcats goal halfway through the first half, the Broncos posed a burden on their league-unbeaten opponents, keeping Poly from adding to its lead to remain in a position to tie the game. Delhi, unfortunately, could not find the equalizer through the rain-heavy conditions for its seventh 1-0 defeat of the season.

Junior goalkeeper Jonathan Walch flashed seven saves to combat SUNY Poly's 20-10 lead in total shots. The only one that cross the goal line was Wildcat Noah Fagnani's score in the 22nd minute. Delhi was met by four saves from Wildcats keeper Chase Coluccio, and another hitting the top woodwork.

Delhi stands at 2-11-1 and 2-5 in NAC play. Head coach EJ Reutemann's squad is still in contention for the fourth and final spot in late October's NAC West Tournament. The Broncos' road to the playoffs comes to a head with two final matches this week, opening at SUNY Cobleskill Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. and at home versus SUNY Canton next Saturday, Oct. 23 at 2:30 p.m.
