Broncos Shut Out on the Road at Elmira

ELMIRA, N.Y. (September 21, 2021) - The SUNY Delhi men's soccer team visited the Elmira College Soaring Eagles Tuesday in an afternoon non-conference match. A scoreless first half gave way to three Elmira goals in the latter session to hand Delhi a 3-0 defeat. The Broncos stand at 1-5-1 overall and 1-0 in the NAC.

Elmira soared to early second-half goals in the 51st and 59th minutes, beginning with a Mark Brado Jr. score, followed by Lutho Mlunguza assisted by Moustapha Camara. Gavin Wise got Elmira's third score in the 75th minute. The Soaring Eagles finished the day with a 20-3 lead in shots, including 12-2 in shots on goal, and had nine corner kick chances to the Broncos' two. Delhi keeper Jonathan Walch tallied nine saves on the afternoon, including seven in the high-paced second half. 

The Broncos saddle back into NAC competition this weekend, looking to stay unbeaten in league play hosting Northern Vermont Lyndon Saturday at 3:30 p.m. and Maine Farmington Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
