Broncos Win on the Road, Defense Stops MCLA

NORTH ADAMS, MA (April 1, 2022) -- The Broncos defense weren't fooling around tonight; limiting MCLA to just 15 total shots. The Delhi attack was consistent over the 4 periods and the Broncos would leave Massachusetts 13-4 winners.

The Broncos would score the first six goals of the game and pitched a shutout until there was less than 4 minutes left in the opening half. Delhi's King White got the scoring started at the 12 minute mark and just a minute later, Benjamin Moscatiello got his first of three goals on the night. The visiting Broncos would lead 4-0 after 15 minutes.

Moscatiello had bookend goals in the second; scoring the first and last goals of the period. Kyle Brogan and Logan Bauer also added 2nd quarter goals. Delhi took an 8-1 lead into the halftime break.

The third 15 minutes were a bit quieter and was the only period that Delhi didn't score 4 times. MCLA made it 8-2 about 3 minutes into the 2nd half. Jack McClurg got his first to finish the period's scoring.

Things picked back up in the final frame with another McClurg goal which was followed by an MCLA goal before McClurg got his third and final goal of the game. The Broncos would score twice more in the final 4 minutes and put a stamp on a 13-4 victory.

Samuel Steng and James Sullivan split time in the goal. Each had a quiet night with 2 saves each.

McClurg provided two assists along with his 3 goals. Brogan had a goal, an assist and had a game-high 11 shots.

Nick Dower led the teams with 7 ground balls and went 8-11 on face offs.

The Broncos will have their chips cashed in when they keep truckin' on to finish their non-conference slate on Tuesday April 5 at SUNY New Paltz. Game will start at 4PM.

The Broncos sit at 6-4 overall and remain unbeaten in North Atlantic Conference play (5-0).
