Broncos Trek to Brockport: Fall to Golden Eagles

BROCKPORT, NY (March 5, 2022) - The road trips keep coming for the Broncos as men's lacrosse made their way to a fellow SUNY institution in Brockport. The Golden Eagles were able to use a big first half to create separation and ultimately doomed the Broncos to a 17-5 defeat. Brockport took an early 3 goal lead before Delhi was able to get on the board with a goal from Jackson Murphy. The Broncos weren't able to get any closer than when the score was at 3-1 with 9 of the next 10 goals being scored by the home team. SUNY Brockport lead 12-2 at the halftime break. The second half was tighter with the Golden Eagles holding only a 5-3 advantage in scoring.

The Broncos had 5 different goal-scorers on the afternoon. Joining Murphy were Kyle BroganKing WhiteGreg Junge, and Benjamin Moscatiello.

Time was split in the net with Samuel Steng making 7 saves in the first half and James Sullivan tallying 12 in the second half.

Men's lacrosse opens up conference play, Saturday March 12, against an all too familiar foe when they travel to Canton, NY to faceoff against the Roos of SUNY Canton. The game will begin at 1 PM.
