We're Back: Bronco's Open on the Road Against Hood

FREDERICK, MD (February 19, 2022) - It's that time of the year again: Men's lacrosse is back in season! Head Coach Sam Miller's squad opened with a road trip to Maryland and faced off against the Hood College Blazers. The Broncos hung with the Blazers throughout before falling 9-7.

Trailing by a goal after the first quarter (3-2), the Broncos used two quick goals by Jackson Murphy and Greg Junge at the end of the 2nd quarter to send the game into the halftime break all knotted at 4.

Three goals for the Blazers and a scoreless 3rd quarter for Delhi forced them to search for a way back into the game in the 4th. Though they were able to get within 2 goals, the clock wasn't on their side and SUNY Delhi dropped the opening game of the 2022 season.

Delhi collected 23 total shots with Benjamin MoscatielloBrandon McGrath, and Logan Bauer leading the team with 4 shots each, while McGrath netted 2 goals.

Goalie Samuel Steng made 12 saves.

The Broncos will be back at it on Wednesday when they take on Morrisville State in the Mustangs' season opener. The action starts at 4PM.
