On the Road Again: Men's LAX drops to Morrisville

MORRISVILLE, NY (February 23, 2022) - The men's lacrosse team made the short trip to Morrisville to square off with the Morrisville State Mustangs, eventually dropping the game 11 to 5. The Broncos were able to keep the score close and tied 3-3, part way through the 2nd period with a goal from Nico Rivera and two from Brandon McGrath.

The Mustangs used a 3-goal run to create some separation before Benjamin Moscatiello tallied a goal right before the half. Morrisville State led 6 to 4.

A low-scoring third period only saw one goal scored by the Mustangs but they coupled that with 3 more to begin the 4th and built a lead that Delhi couldn't overcome.

Nick Dower got the last goal for the Broncos with under 4-minutes to play.

McGrath had a team-high 7 shots (4 on goal) while Logan Bauer and King White also provide 6 shots a piece. Samuel Steng went the distance in goal and recorded 15 saves.

The Broncos and Mustangs were nearly identical in many of the statisical catergories, though Delhi was only able to win 6 of the 20 faceoffs during the game.

The Bronco men will look to get in the win column on Saturday with a game against Hilbert. The game will take place @ St. Francis High School (4129 Lake Shore Rd, Hamburg, NY), starting at 2PM.
