Broncos Beat Cobleskill, Stay Unbeaten in Conference Play

ONEONTA, NY (March 20, 2022) - The SUNY Delhi men's Lacrosse team picked up their second straight win in North Atlantic Conference play in a game against Cobleskill played at SUNY Oneonta's Red Dragon Field.  The win moves the team to 2-4 on the season and 2-0 in conference play after a week that included two wins and a loss.

The Broncos jumped out to an early lead leaving the first quarter with five goals and giving up none.  By the halfway point, they were leading eight to one.  From there the game would be played even with each team scoring three in both the third and fourth quarters.

Logan Bauer and Jack McClurg led the team in scoring with three goals and an assist each, whileGreg Junge added three goals and Brandon McGrath added three assists.  Donavon Johnson-Moline caused four turnovers and Nick Dower dominated posession in faceoffs going 9 for 15 and picking up 8 ground balls.  Golakeeper Samuel Steng had five saves in the Broncos winning effort.  As a team, Delhi had 52 shots, 36 ground balls and caused 13 turnovers.

Cobleskill picked up two golas each from Aaron Brooks and Gregory Neuman.

Next up for the Broncos is a Firday and Sunday set of games against Maine Maritime Academy and Husson University.  Both games will be held at SUNY Oneonta with the Friday game starting at 4:00pm.
