Two More Broncos Land AARTFC Qualifiers in Saturday's Utica Invite

UTICA, N.Y. (February 9, 2020) – Fifteen lifetime bests, 27 season bests, and two AARTFC qualifiers accounted for the SUNY Delhi track and field team's day Saturday at the Utica College Blue and Orange Invitational. Sophomore Humphrey Banful qualified for AARTFC's with a 8.53 finish in the 60-meter hurdles finals, while Chris Filatov punched his regional ticket after clearing 4.40m in the pole vault.

Jumper Alex Irving set a new personal best in the triple jump, with his fourth jump going for 14.09m to take third in the event. He went on to finish first in the long jump at 6.64m. Fellow AARTFC qualifier Wylie Troy, who already secured a regional spot in the high jump, took third in the event Saturday with a height of 1.89m.

The women secured a pair of fifth-place finishes. Freshman Shyanne Lawton took fifth in the 1,000 meters at 3:31.09, while the 4x400 team of Ashley Magnifico, Jackie Graham, Sabrina Richards, and Arielle Moheimani earned fifth by clocking in at 4:23.68.

Head coach Robb Munro's team heads off to Boston University this weekend for the Valentine Invite from Friday, Feb. 14 to Saturday, Feb. 15.
