DELHI, N.Y. (January 26, 2021) – While our Fall 2020 semester was anything but ordinary, our student-athletes showed unblemished character, resilience, and leadership during their practice seasons. SUNY Delhi Athletics is proud to celebrate our Broncos of the Week each Tuesday by recognizing our talented and committed students, who despite the absence of competition demonstrated superb qualities on behalf of their team, the college, and their program of study.
Kaitlyn Quezada (Peekskill, NY / Peekskill), Women's Swimming & Diving
From Head Coach Mike Burud:
"Kaitlyn's been a tremendously hard worker this past semester. With everything going on she still managed to excel in her classes while juggling swim practices and team commitments. She works hard in practice and understands the challenges facing college athletics with COVID and still comes to practice every day with a smile on her face."
Tom Christoffersen (Binghamton, NY / Chenango Valley), Men's Golf
From Head Coach Dave Arehart:
"Freshman Tom Christoffersen is a terrific new addition to the team, with a thirst for golf knowledge. He displays a great work ethic and is eager to improve and compete. He challenges himself each day and this will surely serve him well when the Broncos return to competition."
With the start of the spring semester next week, this concludes our Broncos of the Week feature recognizing the best across all our programs for the fall semester. Congratulations once again to all our Broncos of the Week honorees over the course of winter break!
