SCRANTON, Pa. (December 8, 2021)- The SUNY Delhi Women's basketball team was back on the road Tuesday night to battle at Marywood University. The Broncos fought hard against the Pacers, but were outdone with a final score of 75-41. Tuesday concluded the two-game non-conference series between the Broncos and Pacers, with Marywood taking a 73-37 win at SUNY Delhi on Nov. 18.

The Broncos were the first to get on the board with an Angelica Lazo 3-pointer to go up on the Pacers. Quickly, however, Marywood fought back to take the lead and held it for the remainder of the game. M-Wood took a run and got off to a comfortable lead ending the first half of the game with a 42-26 lead. After the half the Broncos fought back, but were unable to get back in front.

Lazo led the Broncos in scoring with 13 points, while vying for three assists, tied for the team lead with Jahddan Lennon, and two steals. Lennon gathered five points, seven rebounds, and three steals. Marissa Kupris added nine points while also carrying a team high off 44.4% in field goals, making four on nine attempts, and ranking second on the team with eight rebounds. Holding the team high in boards was Justine Lubbers with 11, while also carrying five points. Myles Matthias gathered seven points off the bench.

The Broncos are back in Floyd L. Maines Arena for a six-game home stand that runs through January. It all starts with this weekend's NAC West home series, opening up against Northern Vermont Johnson Friday at 8:00 p.m., then welcoming SUNY Canton Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Their final game of 2021 will be versus Bryant and Stratton Syracuse Dec. 17 at 5:00 p.m.
