Early Scoreless Affair Turns to Three Caz Goals in 3-0 Defeat

CAZENOVIA, N.Y. (October 3, 2017) – SUNY Delhi men's soccer played a tight first half at Cazenovia Tuesday afternoon, before a late opening half goal by the Wildcats and two more in the second half dealt the Broncos a 3-0 defeat.

Delhi keeper Marcos Andrino had 12 saves, including six in the first half, as he kept Caz out of the net for the first 44:35 of the match. That was until Wildcat Jadon Barton delivered the opening score with 25 ticks left before halftime. Barton scored again in the second half in the 65th minute, while Luke Schiachter tallied the final goal in minute 72.

The Broncos were outshot, 21-13, and 15-10 in shots on goal. Brody Rettle led Delhi with three shots on goal, with Joseph Vazquez tallying two on goal. SUNY Delhi had 12 fouls to Caz's 11, with yellow cards given to Jostin Sarmiento, Rommernio Morris and Jacob Zinkievich. The Wildcats also had six corner kicks, where Delhi had zero.
