Men's Lacrosse makes it three conference wins in a row after 14-9 victory over Thomas College

Delhi, NY - Men's Lacrosse defeated North Atlantic Conference opponents Thomas College 14-9 in Delhi on Sunday at home. The win marks their third straight conference victory as they have won seven of their last 10 games.

The Broncos (7-7,6-1) have just two remaining games on the schedule and currently sit in third place in the conference standings. They have been on an offensive streak, outscoring their last three opponents 44-14.

How it Happened:

The Broncos got started early with the goals, scoring in the first 30 seconds of the game. They had seven different scorers combine for 10 goals as they went into the half up 10-1. Sophomore Brian McMahon led the way for the green and gold with three goals and an assist in the half. After scoring his first goal in his last outing against Northern Vermont Lyndon, McMahon has already racked up seven points since.

Senior Brett Fischer was also a key part of the big half as he also scored two first-half goals. Sophomore goalkeeper Samuel Steng was solid in goal, saving eight shots before subbing out in the fourth period.

The second half would be slower for Delhi as they pushed four goals past Thomas. They ended up with five Broncos who scored multiple goals including McMahon and Jagger Beachak who led the team with hat-trick performances. Chris Lazzazzo, Jackson Murphy and Brett Fischer would all record two goals as the team assisted on 13 of their 14 total goals.

Murphy was all over the field, dishing out the team-high three assists, while McMahon and Beachak added two each.

What's Next:

The Broncos will look forward to Saturday, April 22nd when they host NAC opponent SUNY Poly as well as recognize their seniors.
