Men's Lacrosse takes down SUNY Canton 17-10 in first NAC game of the season

Oneonta, NY - Men's Lacrosse (2-4,1-0) hosted their first conference game of the year at Hartwick College, taking down SUNY Canton 17-10. The Bronco's offense has exploded in their last two games, putting up 35 points after only scoring 22 through their first four.

The first half was back-and-forth as the green and gold held a small 9-8 lead at the half. After the Roo's scored the first goal of the game, Delhi would answer by never letting them lead again. They scored five goals in a row between the first and second quarters led by Kyle Brogan's two unassisted goals. The freshman, Sam Bieber, who made his mark last game with four goals, also added on two in the first half.

Delhi used a big second half to pull away from Canton, outscoring them 8-2 the rest of the way. With some incredible efforts, the Broncos put down some spectacular goals. They would end with four players scoring over three goals as everyone was getting involved. Bieber led the way with four goals for his second game in a row, while Brogan, Nico Rivera and Brandon Mcgrath all added three goals. They were set up by teammates Sean Dalton and Logan Bauer who both recorded two assists on the day.

On the defensive side, goalkeeper Samuel Steng saved seven shots on the day. The backline was able to play really well, only allowing two goals in the last 30 minutes. Joseph Carr continues to be a bright spot there, causing the game-high six turnovers and picking up four ground balls. The combination between Carr and Donavon Johnson Moline has continued to improve as Moline ended with five caused turnovers and three ground balls.

The Broncos will now look forward to hosting SUNY New Paltz on Wednesday, March 22nd at 6:00 PM.
