Men's Lacrosse land two on North Atlantic Conference Weekly Awards

Delhi, NY  - Two men's lacrosse student-athletes picked up North Atlantic Conference recognition after a successful past week. The Broncos dropped a nonconference game in overtime to Manhattanville before taking down NAC opponent MCLA with a huge second-half comeback. 

Player of the Week

Jack McClurg, SUNY Delhi 

Senior | Attackman | Marlborough, Connecticut

Jack McClurg led the Broncos to a win over MCLA and a tough overtime loss to Manhattanville. He recorded an impressive 11 points over the two games, scoring seven goals and adding four assists. McClurg was a constant factor all over the field, grabbing a combined 10 ground balls and causing three turnovers.

 

Rookie of the Week

Anthony Ferrato, SUNY Delhi

First Year | Face Off Specialist | Oceanside, New York

Freshman Anthony Ferrato was an integral part of the Broncos’ 10-4 conference win over MCLA on Saturday. He dominated the faceoff circle winning 16 of the 18 matchups and picking up nine ground balls. Ferrato’s initial wins in the faceoff led to the Broncos’ big comeback and victory. He also played a solid game in the overtime loss to Manhattanville earlier in the week, winning 17 of 29 faceoffs with seven ground balls.
