Stowe, VT- The SUNY Delhi tennis team traveled to Stowe Vermont on Friday to face the Johnson Badgers in a conference match. The Broncos won the match by a score of 6-3.
DOUBLES
Benjamin Andersen and Hannah Shafer got the broncos on the board as they took the first doubles 8-6. Moises Saintil and Devin Guerrieri were defeated in the second doubles by a score of 8-5. The Badgers would take control as Sarthak Thapa and Veronica Coe fell 9-8 in tight tie breaking set.
SINGLES
Hannah Shafer took the first singles match 7-6 in a hard fought tie breaker and 6-4. Saintil fell in second singles in two sets, both sets ended with a score of 6-3. Andersen won third singles to close the margin and tie the match 3-3. Guerrieri took fourth singles 6-3 and 6-4 to put the broncos ahead 4-3. J.T Maccarrone would secure the win taking fifth singles 6-4 and 6-3. Jack Madera won the final match of the day in sixth singles with a score of 6-0 and 6-1.
With the win the Broncos move to 1-2 on the season and 1-0 in conference play.
