Volleyball Edged Out in Saturday Matches to Dean and Fisher

FRANKLIN, Mass. (September 16, 2017) – The SUNY Delhi women's volleyball team dropped a pair of 3-1 contests to Massachusetts schools Dean and NIAC-foe Fisher during their stay Saturday at the Dean College Tournament. Kristen Maslanka led Delhi with 20 kills over the two contests, including 14 against Dean.

The Broncos opened their day against the Bulldogs, where the first three sets were decided by three points or less. The Broncos responded from a 25-22 defeat in set one with a 25-23 win in set two. Dean pulled out another 25-22 win in set three before taking the fourth set, 25-14. 

Things started out somewhat similar against the Falcons, with both sides splitting the first two sets. Fisher took set one, 25-13, while Delhi grabbed set two, 25-16. The Falcons went on to win sets three and four by 25-21 and 25-15 scores, respectively. 

Emma King tallied 32 assists and 16 digs on the day, while Kyoko Shimizu registered 22 digs. Taylor Tsatsis had ten kills and 13 digs.
